Trip to Bluebell Railway

Visit to Bocketts Farm

6th March 2020

Reception had a fantastic trip to Bocketts Farm this week. We learned how to milk a goat, feed the animals with our palms flat and even had the opportunity to stroke a cockerel, rabbit and guinea pig. The tractor ride was very bumpy and the lunch was delicious!

World Wildlife Day

It’s #worldwildlifeday and Year 3 were in Forest School this morning building a shelter out of large sticks, rope and leaves. Forest School provides an opportunity for pupils to learn about the environment, how to take care of it and what we can do at home to help prevent climate change.

Year 7

In History, Year 7 were learning all about the Queen of Scots. Mary, the only surviving legitimate child of King James V of Scotland, was six days old when her father died and she acceded to the throne.

Street Art!

Year 8 were working through their sketchbook this week. Today they were researching about street art, and learning more about Slinkachu, who is a British street artist. He is best known for his Little People Project series, which consists of remodelling and repainting miniature figurines which are then installed and photographed in public places.
