Year 6
Year 6 have started to draw landscapes in Art this week. They had to choose an image from their textbooks and try and replicate them as best they could. They were able to use oil pastels, water colours, coloured pencils to draw… We can’t wait to see the end result!
Year 5
Year 5 had an exhilarating lesson yesterday practicing their improvisational skills in Drama. The children took it in turns to tell a story and the rest of the class had seconds to improvise! We had funny stories about potatoes, sharks, dolphins, horses and a crazy man in the van!
Year 4
In English the children have continued reading Charlotte’s Web… this week they met the character Charlotte, a very friendly spider! Their task was to write kenning poems, using compressed metaphors. Who let the dogs out?
Mrs Lichfield and the Year 7s’ had a furry surprise at the end of their English lesson yesterday after they opened the door and two dogs wondered into the classroom! Nursery – Oaks
Oaks class balancing carefully in the sports hall on the stilts and the beam this week in their P.E lesson with Miss Jones. The class decided the zoo animals needed cooling down due to the unprecedented warm weather this week!
Year 8 English
